We also have considerable knowledge of the developing spatial planning system having reviewed the Regional Spatial Strategies for all of the English Regions, provided details of energy policies for inclusion in some of these and assembled supporting information including evidence bases and details of Local Development Documentation.
Through this work we have influenced the setting of challenging but realistic targets for energy efficiency and the use of embedded generation in new buildings and redevelopments that are subject to local planning controls. We also design and support the training and development of key players involved in the delivery of these regional strategies and policies.
We have current detailed knowledge of the provision of skills for sustainable energy supply, comprehensive contacts with test facilities for technology development and an understanding of the various drivers for sustainable energy at national, regional and local levels. |
