CP Energy Ltd has brought together the skills of managers and engineers with many years experience in industry together with a lifelong interest in the environment. The company has been trading since April 2005 and is noted for delivering sustainable energy projects in the North East of England and elsewhere in the UK.

The company draws on the skill sets of its directors and when necessary other specialist consultants to deliver clear and demonstrable improvements in energy and environmental sustainability.

CP Energy Ltd works as an independent specialist contractor as:-
  • an energy auditing service that is supported, where appropriate, by the use of Infra Red thermography. Identify specific areas of heat loss or presence of heat indicating possible fault conditions.

  • support and project management to micro-generation projects embracing all practical technologies that are appropriate to the building and its use.  This includes the use of biomass, normally wood fuel as pellet or chip and ideally from local sources.

  • development of community projects, principally utilising renewable energy supply, but ensuring ‘buy-in’ of local residents, businesses and, where appropriate, the public sector, in particular local authorities.

  • organisation and delivery of events to promote sustainable energy and development of networks to engage with suppliers, installers and potential users.
The directors of CP Energy are: Stephen Calvert and Jonathan Pope who provide a combination of the following skills and knowledge:-
  • Support to businesses developed under ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) projects in the North East and covering environment and energy.

  • Regional strategy and policy drivers for sustainable energy.

  • Qualified thermography services to identify heat loss or fault conditions enabling specific solutions to BINDT standards. (British Institute for Non Destructive Testing)
